Araham's Descendants
25:1 亚伯拉罕又娶了一妻，名叫基土拉。
25:1 Abraham took another wife, whose name was Keturah.
25:2 基土拉给他生了心兰、约珊、米但、米甸、伊施巴和书亚。
25:2 She bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah.
25:3 约珊生了示巴和底但。底但的子孙是亚书利族、利都是族和利乌米族。
25:3 Jokshan fathered Sheba and Dedan. The sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim.
25:4 米甸的儿子是以法、以弗、哈诺、亚比大和以勒大。这都是基土拉的子孙。
25:4 The sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
25:5 亚伯拉罕将一切所有的都给了以撒。
25:5 Abraham gave all he had to Isaac.
25:6 亚伯拉罕把财物分给他庶出的众子，趁着自己还在世的时候，打发他们离开他的儿子以撒，往东方去。
25:6 But to the sons of his concubines Abraham gave gifts, and while he was still living he sent them away from his son Isaac, eastward to the east country.
亚伯拉罕的死和埋葬
Araham's Death
25:7 亚伯拉罕一生的年日是一百七十五岁。
25:7 These are the days of the years of Abraham’s life, 175 years.
25:8 亚伯拉罕寿高年迈，气绝而死，归到他列祖（注：原文作“本民”）那里。
25:8 Abraham breathed his last and died in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and was gathered to his people.
25:9 他两个儿子以撒、以实玛利把他埋葬在麦比拉洞里。这洞在幔利前、赫人琐辖的儿子以弗仑的田中，
25:9 Isaac and Ishmael his sons buried him in the cave of Machpelah, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, east of Mamre,
25:10 就是亚伯拉罕向赫人买的那块田。亚伯拉罕和他妻子撒拉都葬在那里。
25:10 the field that Abraham purchased from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried, with Sarah his wife.
25:11 亚伯拉罕死了以后， 神赐福给他的儿子以撒。以撒靠近庇耳拉海莱居住。
25:11 After the death of Abraham, God blessed Isaac his son. And Isaac settled at Beer-lahai-roi.
25:12 撒拉的使女埃及人夏甲，给亚伯拉罕所生的儿子是以实玛利。
25:12 These are the generations of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s servant, bore to Abraham.

Ishmael's Descendants
25:13 以实玛利儿子们的名字，按着他们的家谱，记在下面：以实玛利的长子是尼拜约，又有基达、亚德别、米比衫、
25:13 These are the names of the sons of Ishmael, named in the order of their birth: Nebaioth, the firstborn of Ishmael; and Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam,
25:14 米施玛、度玛、玛撒、
25:14 Mishma, Dumah, Massa,
25:15 哈大、提玛、伊突、拿非施、基底玛。
25:15 Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah.
25:16 这是以实玛利众子的名字，照着他们的村庄、营寨，作了十二族的族长。
25:16 These are the sons of Ishmael and these are their names, by their villages and by their encampments, twelve princes according to their tribes.
25:17 以实玛利享寿一百三十七岁，气绝而死，归到他列祖（注：原文作“本民”）那里。
25:17 (These are the years of the life of Ishmael: 137 years. He breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people.)
25:18 他子孙的住处在他众弟兄东边，从哈腓拉直到埃及前的书珥，正在亚述的道上。
25:18 They settled from Havilah to Shur, which is opposite Egypt in the direction of Assyria. He settled over against all his kinsmen.
以扫和雅各出生
Esau and Jacob
25:19 亚伯拉罕的儿子以撒的后代，记在下面：亚伯拉罕生以撒。
25:19 These are the generations of Isaac, Abraham’s son: Abraham fathered Isaac,
25:20 以撒娶利百加为妻的时候正四十岁。利百加是巴旦亚兰地的亚兰人彼土利的女儿，是亚兰人拉班的妹子。
25:20 and Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah, the daughter of Bethuel the Aramean of Paddan-aram, the sister of Laban the Aramean, to be his wife.
25:21 以撒因他妻子不生育，就为她祈求耶和华。耶和华应允他的祈求，他的妻子利百加就怀了孕。
25:21 And Isaac prayed to the LORD for his wife, because she was barren. And the LORD granted his prayer, and Rebekah his wife conceived.
25:22 孩子们在她腹中彼此相争，她就说：“若是这样，我为什么活着呢（注：或作“我为什么如此呢”）？”她就去求问耶和华。
25:22 The children struggled together within her, and she said, “If it is thus, why is this happening to me?” So she went to inquire of the LORD .
25:23 耶和华对她说：“两国在你腹内，两族要从你身上出来；这族必强于那族，将来大的要服事小的。”
25:23 And the LORD said to her,
25:24 When her days to give birth were completed, behold, there were twins in her womb.
25:25 先产的身体发红，浑(hún)身有毛，如同皮衣，他们就给他起名叫以扫（注：就是“有毛”的意思）。
25:25 The first came out red, all his body like a hairy cloak, so they called his name Esau.
25:26 随后又生了以扫的兄弟，手抓住以扫的脚跟，因此给他起名叫雅各（注：就是“抓住”的意思）。利百加生下两个儿子的时候，以撒年正六十岁。
25:26 Afterward his brother came out with his hand holding Esau’s heel, so his name was called Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.
以扫卖长子的名分
25:27 两个孩子渐渐长大，以扫善于打猎，常在田野；雅各为人安静，常住在帐棚里。
25:27 When the boys grew up, Esau was a skillful hunter, a man of the field, while Jacob was a quiet man, dwelling in tents.
25:28 以撒爱以扫，因为常吃他的野味；利百加却爱雅各。
25:28 Isaac loved Esau because he ate of his game, but Rebekah loved Jacob.
25:29 有一天，雅各熬汤，以扫从田野回来累昏了。
25:29 Once when Jacob was cooking stew, Esau came in from the field, and he was exhausted.
25:30 以扫对雅各说：“我累昏了，求你把这红汤给我喝。”因此以扫又叫以东（注：就是“红”的意思）。
25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me eat some of that red stew, for I am exhausted!” (Therefore his name was called Edom. )
25:31 雅各说：“你今日把长子的名分卖给我吧！”
25:31 Jacob said, “Sell me your birthright now.”
25:32 以扫说：“我将要死，这长子的名分于我有什么益处呢？”
25:32 Esau said, “I am about to die; of what use is a birthright to me?”
25:33 雅各说：“你今日对我起誓吧！”以扫就对他起了誓，把长子的名分卖给雅各。
25:33 Jacob said, “Swear to me now.” So he swore to him and sold his birthright to Jacob.
25:34 于是雅各将饼和红豆汤给了以扫，以扫吃了喝了，便起来走了。这就是以扫轻看了他长子的名分。
25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank and rose and went his way. Thus Esau despised his birthright.
